Modern Fairy Tale

 Kate Middleton\’s wedding dress was created by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. The dress channeled Grace Kelly and definitely was not a normal dress that you would see come from McQueen. The wedding dress featured lace applique on ivory satin. The Duchess also did her own makeup. Which I would definitely suggest doing for your own wedding if you love the look you create everyday!

The Queen looked gorgeous in a canary yellow dress by her long time dress maker Angela Kelly.

 {McQueen Pre-fall 2009}

Maid of Honor Pippa Middleton wore a white frock which was also designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. The ivory satin based dress skimmed her toned body brilliant. The dress also had a cowl neck and cap sleeves.

Princess Zara looked absolutely stunning in silver and kept it modern with a leopard clutch.

 {Victoria Beckham Fall 2011}

 Victoria Beckham was in a navy dress from her line, high heel Christian Louboutin\’s and a midnight blue pillbox fascinator headpiece created by Philip Treacy . While David Beckham wore a Ralph Lauren morning suit, and held his top hat created by Philip Treacy.

{Valentino Spring 2011}
I absolutely LOVE Princess Beatrice\’s fascinator if you find one like this let me know!

Princess Beatrice paired her gorgeous ribbon inspired fascinator by Philip Treacy with a matching power pink Valentino Couture number.

Princess Eugenie wore a bold blue pillbox fascinator that was embellished with a purple rose as well as gray feathers it was created by Philip Treacy to coordinate with her blue floral printed Vivienne Westwood dress.

English socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson looked stunning her her cobalt blue outfit and her cobalt blue pill box fascinator.

Prince Harry\’s on again, off again girlfriend Chelsy Davy wore a teal Alberta Ferretti dress and jacket combination with a fascinator by Victoria Grant.

What is a fascinator? The meaning of the term fascinator has slightly changed, it is now used to describe a delicate, slightly to very frivolous head decoration. It can be worn instead of a hat to occasions where hats are traditionally worn such as weddings. Or you can wear it as an evening accessory where it might be called a cocktail hat. Usually paired with fairly formal attire. They attach to the hair by a comb, headband or clip.

 Hats & Facinators: I LOVE LOVE LOVED them. I wish we were not so tacky in America and would wear things like this. I absolutely loved Princess Beatrices and would definitely wear it to an event. It\’s getting a lot of negative press, but I absolutely adored it. I wish more ladies in the states would wear them!

After Party Attire

 Duchess Catherine changed into a strapless white satin evening dress with a circle skirt and diamante-embroidered detail at the waist which was also created by Sarah Burton. She also wore a white angora bolero cardigan.

Maid of honor Pippa was seen wearing a long emerald green sleevless dress with jeweled embellishment on the front as well as a plunging neckline.

    Coral Crush

    Morning Beauties! I don\’t know about where you are, but here the weather is a hot mess. Muggy and rainy it is feeling more like mother nature just wants to skip right over spring. While mother nature might not want to embrace spring I am embracing the gorgeous colors, flowers and trends that spring is offering. My current springy color crush is coral. Anyone can wear coral whether it be deep or pastel – it looks gorgeous paired with any complexion.
