Hello Friday! Can you believe it is actually the last Friday in November? Despite everything that has happened this year, I feel like the year has flown right by. Do you feel the same way?
In today\’s edition of Friday Favorites, I am going to share with you a little recap of my lowkey Thanksgiving. Since Small Business Saturday is tomorrow, I thought I would reshare my gift guides with you as well as my favorite small businesses from around the Great Lakes State. If you want to see your favorite small businesses next year, you need to make sure you\’re supporting them this year. Amazon, Walmart, and other big-name box stores will always be there, but small businesses will only be there if we support them.

Thanksgiving looked a little different this year for many people. I kept mine lowkey with this delicious Thanksgiving Charcuterie board.

Thanksgiving Charcuterie Board
Putting together cheeseboards have become my go-to for a snack or dinner. This past weekend in the spirit of Thanksgiving and autumn I decided to make a board that was both sweet and savory. I have really started to venture out and create unexpected cheeseboards, and I think that makes them even more. fun. To make the board more festive I added a white pumpkin and cut out cheese in the shape of pumpkins and leaves. Below you will find a list of what I used to create this delicious board. Magic of Lights Enchants Metro Detroit
When I lived in Pittsburgh one of my favorite Christmas activities was heading to Oglebay Resort in West Virginia for their Festival of Lights. To this day, Oglebay Resort is still my favorite holiday memory and adventure. With the holiday season looking a bit different this year I was excited to learn that DTE would become home to the Magic of Lights.
Magic of Lights allows you to embrace the spirit of the season without leaving your car. Magic of Lights is a 1.5-mile drive-through holiday light display. The drive offers holiday-themed light displays using the latest LED technology and digital animations. The best part is you get to experience the entire event safely from the comfort of your own car as you weave through the lighted course.
The Magic of Lights weaves you around the parking lot of DTE on an enchanting drive, where you\’ll be mesmerized by the light displays. I especially loved driving through the \”tunnel\” of frolicking deer and the light \”tunnel\” at the end of the adventure. I highly recommend going with hot cocoa to enjoy while you check out the Magic of Lights.

The Magic of Lights began on November 13, 2020, and continues through January 2, 2021.
