How To: Straighten Hair

When it comes to straightening I feel like your straightener should be an investment a $20 straightener just is not going to get the job done like a professional straighter would. I have tried Croc (loved it until it broke a year later argh!), CHI (stripped color from my hair), Revlon (fried my hair)… you get the point. I felt like all hope was lost until I met \”The Seductress\” by Sultra.

Happy Labor Day & PLL Nail Trends

For me labor day is the official end to summer. This weekend you would not have guessed that summer was coming to an end. The tempatures were topping out at almost 100 degrees which is hotter than the entire summer was. I was going to have a red, white and blue inspired post, but decided to go with a manicure post instead.

I am addicted to Pretty Little Liars, and even more addicted to the nail colors and trends of the girls on the show….especially Hanna. Do you watch PLL?

Just as I started to prep for fall (I have been fall crafting, bookmarking recipes and stocking up on fall candles), summer seems to still be in full swing with these 90 degree temps. This weekend I will be cranking up the AC, lighting some summer scented candles and baking a French inspired dessert. What will you be up to this weekend?

Color Crush: Cedar

It\’s September… can you believe it? Summer sure did pass by quickly. Over the weekend I was rummaging through my nail polish trying to figure out what color to polish my nails. I wanted something that didn\’t scream summer but was not my usual dark shades for fall. After deciding on OPI Mermaid Tears mixed with A-Taupe the Space Needle I kind of began to fall in love with \”cedar\”. It also just so happens that \”cedar\” is a color trend for fall.
