Spring 2012 trends thus far
• Nude nails will still be a must
• Mix clear nail polish with mineral makeup that matches your skin tone for the perfect nude polish
• Dewy makeup is back
• Natural makeup is a must
• Braids and ponytails still going strong
• Bright matte lips
• nude lips
• Hair accents
• unstructured eyebrows
Looks like a lot of the designers took inspiration from Kate Middleton i.e. more of natural makeup look, classic hair, unstructured eyebrows & nude polish

Five Things & the beginning of Fashion Week Spring 2012

{Kettle Corn from the farmers market}
This has been such an exhausting week. I have been on a mad search for a graphic design/advertising job and have come up completely dry. Which has just brought on more stress than I ever wanted in my life.  The only positives that came out of this week is that Fashion Week Spring 2012 has officially begun and I am officially embracing fall. How did your week go? What are you up to this weekend?
 {lighting the first fall candle – apple crumble from bath & body works}
p.s. there will be a fall theme candle giveaway next week!
Nail Polish: Honk if you love OPI by OPI

{my new toy the Sizzix Big Shot die cut machine absolutely love it!}
 {embracing the season change with some shopping}
Lotion: Paris Amour from Bath & Body Works
Nail Polish left to right: Case Study by Essie, Carry On by Essie and Street Chic by China Glaze
{a gorgeous scarf made by my great aunt}
Fashion Week is my favorite time of the year.  Oh how I wish I worked in the fashion industry, for a fashion magazine, lived in New York and or able to be apart of Fashion Week. A girl can dream can\’t she? I need more connections.

Looks like the nude trend is continuing for Spring 2012! I am beyond excited.

Animal Prints

 Last year I searched everywhere for a pair of leopard printed ankle boots, and had no luck. This year animal prints and exotics are all the rage for fall. I was not feeling this trend at all until my trip to the zoo last week where I fell in love with animal prints all over again.

What is your favorite animal print?

Trend Watch: the Bow Tie Blouse

 Kourtney Kardashian has been seen multiple times wearing the bow tie blouse. Everytime I see her in a new bow tie blouse or dress I fall more in love with this trend.

Let\’s go shopping: 1/2/3/4/5/6

What do you think of the bow-tie blouse trend?

How To: Straighten Hair

When it comes to straightening I feel like your straightener should be an investment a $20 straightener just is not going to get the job done like a professional straighter would. I have tried Croc (loved it until it broke a year later argh!), CHI (stripped color from my hair), Revlon (fried my hair)… you get the point. I felt like all hope was lost until I met \”The Seductress\” by Sultra.

The Seductress is completely different from any other straightener that I have tried before.
• Kyocera Ceramtic Technology mends the hair and provides constant and even heat.
• Provides three temperature settings designed specifically for fine, normal or thick hair. FINALLY! :]
• The Seductress is going to run you about $210…. but it\’s definitely worth every penny.
 {I slept with wet hair in a bun which gave me this curly nappy mess}
• note: I never do this… I just did it for the purpose of this post to show you how amazing this straightener is.
 {another look at the mess}
 {half a disaster and half straight}
 {perfectly straightened ponytail in under 30 minutes.}
Usually takes me an hourish
Do you straighten your hair?
