Color Crush: Cedar

It\’s September… can you believe it? Summer sure did pass by quickly. Over the weekend I was rummaging through my nail polish trying to figure out what color to polish my nails. I wanted something that didn\’t scream summer but was not my usual dark shades for fall. After deciding on OPI Mermaid Tears mixed with A-Taupe the Space Needle I kind of began to fall in love with \”cedar\”. It also just so happens that \”cedar\” is a color trend for fall.

Peach Cobbler

Growing up in Michigan once August came around it was time for some absolutely gorgeous and juicy peaches. Over the weekend I bought an abundance of peaches and of course had to come up with a peach cobbler recipe and share it with you.

Peach Cobbler
For the peach filling
• 6 peaches, peeled, pitted & sliced
• 1 Tbls. lemon juice
• 1 c. + 2 Tbsp. sugar
• 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
• 3 Tbsp. corn starch

For the cobbler topping
• 1.25 c. Bisquick mix
• 1/4-1/2 c. milk
• 3 Tbsp. sugar
• 1.5 Tbsp. butter (melted)

Directions
• Combine the peaches, lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon and corn starch in a large bowl. Set aside for 30 minutes.
• Pre-heat oven to 350.
• Mix the Bisquick mix, milk, sugar and butter together.
•  Pour the peaches into a 9 x 9 baking dish. Drop the cobbler topping dough by the spoonful all over the peach filling.
• Bake for 20-30 minutes. Or until cobbler topping is golden brown and not doughy.
• Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Tight Knit Situation

Despite the fact that many people find hosiery to be old fashion, I absolutely love it. It seems as though I have accumulated a massive hosiery collection. From sheers and nudes to black, and playful colors and patterns. It is important to wear when you have on expensive shoes or any shoes for that matter that you do not want to trash. You will never catch me wearing heels or any closed toe shoes without some sort of hosiery.

Per tradition you will see the Duchess of Cambridge nine times out of ten wearing some sort of hosiery.

Gossip Girl fan? Then I am sure you have noticed that Queen B more often than not has some fabulous hosiery on.

What do you think of hosiery? Do you wear it?

Expecting some rain?
