Cinnamon and Sugar Pretzel Nuggets

Growing up, guests would always stop by my parent’s house and anticipate indulging in fun treats. My mum would struggle to find/make things for these guests.  When I moved out onto my own I became determined to have a go-to snack simply for this reason. This sweet snack consists of four ingredients that you can easily keep in your home, and only takes minutes to make.

Cinnamon and Sugar Pretzel Nuggets
Ingredients
• 1 package (16 ounces) pretzel nuggets
• 2/3 cup oil (I used canola)

•1/2 – 3/4 cups sugar

• 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

1. Place pretzels in a microwave-safe bowl.
2. Combine the cinnamon and sugar together.

3. Pour the oil over the pretzels, and mix to coat.

4. Sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar mixture over the pretzels; mixing to coat.

5. Microwave, uncovered for 1 minute; stir. Microwave for 2-3 minutes, stirring after each 30 seconds or until oil is absorbed.
6. Cool to room temperature on wax paper and store in an airtight container.

Trendy Tunics

let\’s go shopping: 1/2/3/4/5
Aside from dresses, tunics are my go to sunny weather fashion necessity. They can be flattering on almost every body type. You just have to find the one that will compliment your figure the best. Here are five tunics I am currently lusting over. What do you think of tunics?

Friday Things- Kentucky Derby Party Edition

 {homemade derby hat sugar cookies}
The Kentucky Derby is this weekend, and I couldn’t be more delighted. Not only am I excited to see what everyone is wearing at the Derby (especially the hats!), but I am hosting a party as well. Here is a glance at some elements of my Derby party.

{individual bottles of PURE LEAF Sweet Tea}
I have no idea how to make \”Southern Sweet Tea\”, and when I tried it tasted awful. PURE LEAF\’s Sweet Tea taste perfectly homemade and the individual bottles are a classic touch.

Mother\’s Day Gift Ideas

Don\’t forget Mother\’s Day, Sunday, May 13th!

1. A low maintenance house plant such as a Just Add Ice Orchid
2. A planter filled with herbs that you create or buy pre-made from a nursery.
3. A decorative soap and candle basket. I love the candles and soaps from Backyard Soap
4. A spring or summer scented candle. Slatkin & Co. from Bath and Body Works are one of my mum\’s favorites.
5. A basket filled with sweets. Located in Northern Michigan Kilwins makes the best confections around, and is number one on my Mother\’s Day shopping list this year.

What will you be buying your Mum for Mother\’s Day?

May Friendship Gift

The saying April showers brings May flowers was the inspiration behind my friendship gifts for May. I bought packets of flower seeds from Kmart on sale ( 50 cents each), but noticed the Dollar Store sells them as well (four for a $1). To give the packets a little something extra I made cute tags that are personalized on the back. You can download my tags here.
