As someone who has a sit down job, I typically find myself wanting to snack on anything and everything while I am at work. Sure I bring apples, string cheese or nuts with me so I can keep it healthy, but sometimes I just want chips. I recently had the opportunity to try Squeaky Pops. Squeaky Pops are chickpea chips that are non-gmo, gluten free and made with real ingredients. Did I mention they are less than 90 calories per single serve bag, oh and they’re AMAZING. Honestly I was skeptical about apple cinnamon chickpea chips, but to my surprise they actually taste like apple cinnamon and have no chickpea flavor to them at all, which is nice. Not only are these chips great for adults they’re healthy enough for children as well. You can find Squeaky Pops on their website or Amazon as a pack of 12. Squeaky Pops are not sold in any grocery stores. If you are looking for a snack for you or your children I highly recommend the Apple Cinnamon Squeaky Pops – I take them on road trips with me, and you can always find them in my gym bag. Donut Sundae
Can you believe it’s already November, and we fell back an hour? Yikes, I can’t either. With winter right around the corner I am trying to savor what is left of fall color and trips to the cider mill. This weekend I was at Yates Cider Mill (my favorite, I highly recommend going if you’ve never been before), and saw that they have donut sundaes. It was 9 a.m., and I wasn’t about to start my day with ice cream, so I didn’t get it. That evening I was at my parents watching Hallmark Christmas movies, and was craving something sweet so I decided to make us our own donut sundaes. We used a cinnamon and sugar donut from Yates, topped it with Hudsonville Creamery Blend Vanilla ice cream, a drizzle of Sanders caramel, dash of cinnamon and a cinnamon stick for decoration. The best part, all of the products were made in Michigan!

Two Michiganders Featured in Disney\’s ALADDIN Cast
Casting has been announced for the Detroit engagement of Disney’s Aladdin. The hit Broadway musical will begin performances at the Detroit Opera House on December 12, 2018 for a limited engagement through January 13, 2019.
The national touring cast includes two Michiganders: Erik Hernandez (Ensemble) who was born and raised in Royal Oak, and Korie Lee Blossey (Standby Genie/Sultan) who is from Bay City.
The production also features Clinton Greenspan (Aladdin), Michael James Scott (Genie), Lissa deGuzman (Jasmine), Jonathan Weir (Jafar), Jay Paranada (Iago), Jerald Vincent (Sultan), Philippe Arroyo (Omar), Zach Bencal (Babkak), Jed Feder (Kassim), Ellis C. Dawson III (Standby Genie & Babkak) and Adam Stevenson (Standby Jafar & Sultan).
Rounding out the cast are Michael Callahan, Gary Cooper, Cornelius Davis, Bobby Daye, Mathew deGuzman, Brian Dillon, Olivia Donalson, Orianna Hilliard, Adrienne Howard, Albert Jennings, Kenway Hon Wai K.
