Five Things: Friday the 13th Edition

There is a lot of uncertainty in the world right now. Schools are shutting down until further notice and Michigan released that any gathering of more than 200 people needs to be canceled. I went from having an absolutely packed schedule for March and April to a wide-open schedule in a matter of hours. I saw Dermot Kennedy at the Fillmore on Wednesday, and at the time little did I know that this would be the last event that I would be seeing for who knows all the time. While we all sit and wonder what will happen next, I thought I would share what I have been up to for the past week. From taking an Easter picture to a broadway show and trying out macarons this past week has been jam-packed with plenty of fun.

 {Dermot Kennedy at the Fillmore}
After listening to Dermot Kennedy for the past months, I finally got to see him live in concert and oh my gosh it was everything I could have hoped for and more. If you haven\’t heard of Dermot Kennedy before I highly recommend checking out his music. Outnumbered is my favorite song.

 {Easter pics}
Jacker\’s and I took some time out over the weekend to get our Easter pictures taken. Here is a look at our outfits.

 {Fiddler on the Roof}
In high school, my dad performed in the musical Fiddler on the roof as the bartender. On Tuesday, I had the opportunity to take him to the Fisher Theatre to check out the Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof. He absolutely loved it and was very impressed with everyone in the show. I ended up knowing all the words to every song – I assume it\’s because he sang them so much when I was a child they just stuck with me forever.

 {Macarons from For the Love of Sugar in Detroit}
While roaming around Detroit with a friend, we both wanted some dessert and ended up heading to For the Love of Sugar. The best part about For the Love of Sugar is they also offer some vegan goodies.

{The Naked Magicians at the Music Hall}
On Friday, my bestie and I headed to the Music Hall in downtown Detroit to check out the Naked Magicians, as well as take too many Snapchat filtered pictures. If you\’re looking to laugh harder than you have in a really long time, or just have a fun night out I HIGHLY recommend seeing the Naked Magicians. In all honesty it was probably one of the best shows that I have seen in a really long time.
