Do you see a common trend?
Nude Heels!
The nude trend is not going anywhere anytime soon. Nude heels have always been a top trend among more petite women. It seems that everyone has caught onto the fact that nude heels elongate your legs and make you look slender. I own multiple pairs of nude heels and wedges and think this is a must have in everyone\’s closet! Check out my post on nude nails and nude heels.

Banana Split Cookies

One of my favorite summer treats is a banana split. Over the weekend I was in the kitchen getting ready to make up my classic chocolate chip cookie recipe for my daddy, and suddenly I decided to change it up. I used my classic chocolate chip cookie recipe and made some modifications to create the most delicious cookie ever…the banana split cookie. I even topped it with a cherry. This is my new go to easy cookie recipe that is perfect for any summer soiree.

Banana Split Cookies
Ingredients
2 sticks butter, at room temperature
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
2 large egg (I used Eggland\’s Best)
1 tsp. vanilla (I used Watkins Pure Vanilla)
2 3/4 c. flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
about 1/2 a box of JELL-O brand Instant Banana Cream Pudding
1 pkg. chocolate chunks coarsely chopped
1/2 c.  coarsely chopped pecans
1/4 c. dried bananas chopped
10 maraschino cherries cut into quarters
Directions
• Preheat oven to 350° F
• Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, banana cream instant pudding mix and vanilla together for 3 minutes.
• Add the egg and beat until combined.
• In a separate bowl whisk together the flour, salt and baking soda.
• Slowly combine the flour mixture with the egg mixture and mix on a low speed until combined.
• Remove the bowl from the mixer and stir in chocolate chunks, pecans, and dried bananas.
• Scoop the dough into tablespoon-size mounds and place on a non-stick baking sheet, about 2 inches apart. Top with a piece of cherry.
• Bake until lightly browned at the edges, 7-12 minutes depending on your oven.
• Allow cookies to cool for a minute or two on the baking sheet before you transfer to a wire cooling rack.
