Ladies and gentlemen, THIS IS HOW YOU DO A SEQUEL! Top Gun Maverick, you have BLOWN me away. Top Gun is one of my all time favorite movies, and when a classic gets a sequel 36 years later, you’re truly skeptical how it is going to turn out. But WOW. I truly don’t even know what else to say. Top Gun Maverick is the movie we didn’t even know we’ve been waiting for.
Hands down I would give Top Gun Maverick five stars, because let me tell you it deserves every single last one of those stars. Nods to the original, appearances by oldies and newbies. Loved that Iceman made an appearance. Talk to me goose is still relevant and always will be.
I’ll be real honest with you right now, Top Gun Maverick is the must see movie of the summer, and that’s truly all the details I am giving you. Go see it on the BIGGEST screen possible. You won’t be disappointed. I’m off to go see it for a THIRD time this weekend. Because, wow!

Thanks to Downton Abbey: A New Era and butter LONDON I am gifting ONE LUCKY winner the full mini butter LONDON Downton Abbey mini polish collection. All the details on how to enter can be found below.

I recently had the opportunity to catch an advanced screening of Downton Abbey: A New Era and it’s even better than I hoped. Get ready to laugh, smile, cry, cheer and of course smile again. Not to mention it’s just so darn pretty, and sometimes you just want to watch something pretty.
Downton Abbey: A New Era take place in 1928, and while there are some sub stories the two main are Violet Crawley has inherited a villa in the French Riviera (it’s stunning) from a man who may or may not be a long-lost lover. And in need of funds to repair and maintain Downton, everyone reluctantly agrees to let a film crew onto the property.
Let’s talk a little bit more about the details of Downton Abbey: A New Era starting with the news that the Dowager Countess of Grantham stuns everyone with. An old acquaintance has gifted her a villa in the South of France (which Sybbie will inherit), but it comes with a lot of questions. Why would someone gift her with the villa, especially someone no one in the family has heard of.
Meanwhile, Jack Barber, a famed director of silent movies, wants to film at Downton Abbey. Like I mentioned above allows the filming happens in exchange for a hefty payment that will fix the roof. The cutest part might be how starstruck servants are of the glamorous leads are. The handsome male lead Guy quickly befriends the head butler Thomas Barrow, while the gorgeous actress Myrna gets the ladies of the house excited she is there. However, the saying you should never meet your heroes proves true when the house learns how rude and demanding Myrna is.
When the Crawleys arrive in France they receive a mixed welcome. While the son agrees to transfer the villa, his mother is less than keen on giving up her late husband’s villa. Back in England, the film hits an unexpected snag, forcing Lady Mary into action to save the struggling production. While long-held secrets come to light.
There’s two main stories going on while other smaller stories are taking place at once. It’s a lot of story packed into a two hour movie, but don’t let that steer you away, because Downton Abbey: A New Era, definitely does not disappoint. In fact I may like it more than the first movie! Downton Abbey: A New Era, is dramatic, hilarious and heartfelt it’s the perfect example of puzzle pieces just seamlessly fitting into place.
Downton Abbey: A New Era comes to theaters this Friday, May 20th and you won’t want to miss it.

You all, I can barely contain my excitement! My Fair Lady is coming to Detroit, and tickets are on sale now. And the best news for those who want to see the show without breaking the bank, ticket’s START at just $25! Hope to see you there.
