Lazy Summer Dessert

Living in a beach town it’s inevitable that any given day there is a good chance someone may stop over (unless of course it’s raining). I like to offer my guests a little something sweet and my go-to treat is ice cream cookie sandwiches. This weekend I paired homemade strawberry ice cream with store bought macaroon cookies.  

This is the perfect treat in my opinion for two reasons
1. You can always have a package or two of store bought cookies in the cabinet and ice cream in the freezer.
2. The possibilities are endless when it comes to the ice cream cookie combination.

 Tip: Freeze individual scoops of ice cream in cupcake liners for easier serving.

Interior Inspiration: Coastal Charm

While I live in a beach town I have never wanted to decorate my house in a coastal theme. However after dealing with depressing blue and gray rooms all winter long (previous owner colors) I have been working to figure out exactly how I want to paint and decorate each room. Currently I am working on the upstairs and all my inspiration centers around coastal charm especially when it involves white, neutral hues and browns.
