Review: Meal Enders

As you may or may not know I am currently on a journey to live a happier and healthier lifestyle. Something I struggle with is my crazy sweet tooth, after any meal I feel the need to have something sweet and fruit just doesn\’t do the trick. Recently I had the opportunity to try out MealEnders which are a Signaling Lozenge. Basically you suck on them after you eat and they\’ll help to curb your appetite. Let me tell you, these bad boys are AMAZING! Honestly I was super skeptical when I tried them, but now I keep them at work, in my car and in my purse. They\’re really helping me take control of my eating and my dessert addiction!

Monthly Beauty Finds: April

I tried a variety of new products in April and these were the three superstars that stood out the most.

VioLife Slim Uno Portable Manicure Kit. How annoying is it to break a nail? This portable manicure kit is definitely a life saver. It’s great for travel or work and is currently residing in my purse.

Pure Ice. Summer is all about the pedicures and recently I discovered Pure Ice polish. It’s a cheaper alternative to high end brand and still rivals the quality of leading brands.

José Eber QuickShine Infrared Blow Dryer. With what a busy schedule I have I definitely do not have the time I used to in order to blow-dry my hair. That’s why I love with blow dryer. It reduces your dry time by 50% and emits a cooler heat – I even dry Jack with this!

Cauliflower Crust Pizza

If you\’ve been hanging around lately especially on my social media you\’ve seen that I have been hitting the gym pretty hard, and eating pretty healthy. I\’m on a journey to change my habits, this journey has included finding ways to still be able to enjoy old favorites like pizza – enter the cauliflower crust pizza. It\’s absolutely delicious and I now actually prefer it over traditional pizza.

Review: Manda Bees Headbands

Like Blair Waldorf I love headbands – especially for working out. Although there are plenty of headbands on the market I find that they’re too loose, too tight, uncomfortable and or just pop off. So what happens when you can’t find what you want? You check out Etsy….
That’s where I discovered Manda Bees headbands
Manda Bees shop states: “The BEST yoga headband ever. Guaranteed! Our patent-pending Flawless headband guarantees NO SLIP, NO HEADACHES, + NO ROLLED EDGES.”

That’s A LOT for an Etsy shop to claim however she isn’t joking around. For the first time I made it through an entire HIIT class without having to readjust my headband numerous times. When it came to running, yoga and pilates same thing NEVER had to adjust my headband which was amazing that even during the toughest workouts it didn’t move.

  Get to know The Flawless
• Single layer, seamless with a raw edge that doesn’t roll up when over stretched.
• 3.5” wide at the front and tapered in the back.
• Soft 4-way stretch shiny spandex blended fabric that wicks away moisture.
• Pulls sweat from your head, allowing it to evaporate, so it wont soak up sweat and become hot, heavy or stretched out.
• 18” around, but stretches to over 26” – if it doesn’t fit you they’ll resize for free!
• Designed to be worn over top of your hairline – half on your forehead, half on your hair.
• Wash/Dryer safe.

I HIGHLY recommend checking out her shop if you\’re looking for a workout headband. I love these headbands so much I just bought the Kaleidoscope Collection featuring 13 solid headbands.

The Best Places To Meet Guys

For those of you who didn’t get the memo, I am attempting to start dating again after a long sabbatical. The thing is – and I know this is not the case for everyone, but I hate online dating. It’s just not me, I have lots of friends who have met great guys, but it’s just not my scene. Since I’m not a bar scene girl and friends set-ups come and go, I have to get a little more creative.  Here are my tips for snagging a guy IRL. If you have any feel free to share in the comments!

1. Sports Leagues
When you join a league (trampoline dodgeball, kickball, softball, basketball…whatever), you meet a ton of new people and will probably end up grabbing food or drinks with them after your game.
2. Classes
Many of us are not in school any more however there are plenty of other classes you can take lessons in – cooking, wine tasting, improv, painting…etc

3. Coffee Shops
Grab a book or your computer, sit there for a few hours and I’ll bet someone will come up to you.

4. Gyms
This is just too easy. The guys are already sweaty and half-naked ladies! Whether it’s the gyms grunting and power lifting to ones in spin or yoga you’re sure to easily meet someone.

5. Grocery Store
Especially around the meat area… ask a guy if he knows how to pick the perfect cut of meat – it’s a conversation starter that can lead to more.

6. Golf or Hunting Store
Seriously do you know how many eligible bachelors you’ll find. Note you may have to talk about boring things like golf or hunting.

7. Birthday Parties
Friends party or kids party its an ideal place to meet a new guy. Everyone is happy at a birthday party, they know someone you know and you never know what could happen.

8. Sports Bar
Hit a sports bar the next time a game is on. Wear a tee with the logo of the team you\’re cheering for, and sit near a guy rooting for the same team. You’ll connect over your shared fandom.

9. Race
Have you ever tried a color run or obstacle course? It’s a great way to meet a ton of new people. Especially at obstacle course races guys will always help you out!

10. Sporting Events
You’re both there for the same reason…. The love of your team – great conversation starter.
