Mitten Crate

[ Disclosure: Mitten Crate provided me with a complimentary box for the purpose of reviewing. All thoughts and opinions are my own. ]

As you may know, I am a huge advocate of Made in the United States products, and an even bigger one of Made in Michigan products. That’s why I was thrilled to learn about Mitten Crate.

How Mitten Crate Works:
1. A one-time delivery
2. An ongoing subscription (with free shipping)
3. A three-month subscription (with a discount)

One you sign up, Mitten Crate will send you a box filled with a surprise assortment of Michigan-made food products. Subscription orders ship out on the 15th of each month, while one-time orders ship out daily. Mitten Crate makes a GREAT gift idea for someone who is from the mitten state, but may live elsewhere now. Mitten Crate is also a great way to get people to try out Michigan made products.

Mitten Crate was kind enough to send me their latest box to try out, which perfectly arrived to give me something to snack on while the snow comes down. If you follow me on Instagram you’ve already seen the box, however I am going more in depth about each product now.

February Beauty Favorites

Since February is a blah month I thought I would liven it up a little bit by sharing my current five favorite beauty products. If you have a product you think I definitely need to try, let me know what it is in the comments below.

1. Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream
Great way to give your cuticles some TLC, especially this time of the year.

2. It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Illumination with SPF 50+
Love how it makes my skin feel, and I receive so many compliments on how flawless my face looks.

3. NARS Orgasm Blush
This blush looks gorgeous on nearly any skin tone.

4. COVERGIRL Super Sizer Mascara
Ever since finding out I am allergic to the glue used in fake eyelashes, I have been trying to find a mascara that really makes my lashes pop. The Super Sizer is my current favorite.

5. Juice Beauty STEM CELLULAR Anti-Wrinkle Moisturizer
Absolutely love how much hydration this moisturizer brings to my skin. Be warned it does smell semi like lemon furniture polish – the boy always asks me what I was cleaning when he sees me after I just put it on.

Restaurant Review: FOGO DE CHAO

I received a free meal, in exchange for an honest review – all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Carnivores, I hope you’re ready for this review because it’s all about meat from steak and lamb to pork and chicken FOGO DE CHAO is every meat eaters dream come true. FOGO is a Brazilian Steakhouse with restaurants located in Brazil, the United States, Puerto Rico and Mexico. They prepare meat the Gaucho way, which means they use centuries-old grilling tradition of churrasco, cooking the ingredients slow and exposing their natural flavors to give you the best tasting meat. My favorite cuts of meat included the filet mignon, parmesan-encrusted pork loin filets and the bacon-wrapped chicken breast. Before you begin eating all the meat your body can handle, take a trip to the Market Table for seasonal salads (try the basil dressing – so good), fresh fruits and veggies, imported meats and cheese, a bacon bar, artisan breads and so much more. FOGO DE CHAO is perfect for date night, girl’s night out and even dining with the family. Have your ever dined at a Brazilian Steakhouse before? If so what did you think?
