Hey babes! How is the Crazy Sexy Confident Challenge going for you? Are you seeing changes and starting to love yourself more? I know I am! If you\’re following along with the challenge you know one of the activities on the list to accomplish is trying a new workout class. I rocked out during my workout, when I attended my very first POUND class at ZellaDor.
What is POUND?
Instead of just listening to the music POUND immerses you and allows you to channel your inner rockstar with a full body cardio-jam session, that will have you dripping sweat as you have fun playing the air drums with your Ripstix (lightly weighted drumsticks). Designed for all fitness levels, POUND gives you the opportunity to let loose and rock out. Both men and women are invited to join the workouts.
I really loved how high energy the class was, the instructor definitely makes a difference and Andrea killed it! Oh, and just so none of you feel bad – I threw a Ripstix straight across the room…yikes!
You know you\’ve scored a good guy when he calls and asks you to brunch (well technically he said breakfast because he hates how millennial brunching has become). A previously took me to Rochester Brunch House earlier in the year, you can see what we each ate here. Last time we went to Rochester Brunch House there was snow on the ground, and this time we were able to dine outside. So let\’s get to what we ate… A ordered the Breakfast Burrito which comes with your choice of ham, bacon or sausage, egg, onions, peppers, cheese, potatoes and sausage gravy. As for me I tried to be healthier this round and ordered the California Omelet which has ham, bacon, tomatoes, onions, avocado and swiss cheese in it. I decided on tomato slices instead of potatoes or grits and had a slice of whole wheat toast. Both of us absolutely loved our meals, and I cannot wait to go back.
A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of seats will be held for WICKED, which is returning to the Detroit Opera House with performances from August 8 – September 2, 2018.
Pop, Six, Squish, Uh-Uh, Cicero, Lipschitz! Detroit had it coming. You\’ll only have yourself to blame, if you\’re not there and aren\’t seeing it. Will you be there when CHICAGO takes the stage at the Fisher Theatre October 16-21?
CHICAGO will appear at Detroit’s Fisher Theatre, October 16-21, 2018. Tickets start at $39 and go on sale Sunday, August 5. Purchase tickets online at www.broadwayindetroit.com or www.ticketmaster.com, or by phone at 800-982-2787. Starting Monday, August 6, tickets may be purchased at the Fisher Theatre box office.
I recently tried MOD Pizza for the first time, and I am not really sure why it\’s taken me this long to try MOD. One thing I LOVE is you can get AS MANY toppings on your pizza as you want, without being charged extra. MOD offers a special seasonal pizza, and right now it\’s the Isaac. The Isaac is available at all locations, and features olive oil, garlic, ricotta, red onion, roasted grape tomatoes, balsamic vinaigrette and basil. Not only is this pizza delicious it\’s making a big impact. Did you know that in the United States, suicide is the second leading cause of death for ages 10-35. This pizza was inspired by a brilliant young man whose life ended too soon. As someone who lost a friend to suicide his story really hit home, and that\’s why I really wanted to get the word out about this pizza. This pizza is helping MOD donate a minimum of $50,000 to The Jed Foundation which is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to protecting emotional health and preventing suicide for our nation\’s teens and young adults. If you\’re thinking of getting a pizza I highly recommend heading to MOD and getting an Isaac.
