Glamping in Michigan

Camping has always been the quintessential way to experience Michigan’s night skies and forest breeze. This year, camping hit a little different and I found myself giving glamping a try. The trend of glamping (glamourous camping), or sleeping outdoors without the need to pitch a tent or sleep in a hammock. Glamping offers a comfortable way to camp and experiences the outdoors.
Experience a different side of Michigan this year with a glamping trip. Airbnb offers a variety of adorable destinations from retro campers to yurts and everything in between. I recently stayed at the cutest retro camper in Mancelona, Michigan. The camper is called Barefoot Elegance Under the Stars and was probably one of my favorite vacation stays.
I stepped back in time when I stayed in this adorable 1964 vintage camper. The camper is located at a quiet and scenic northern Michigan campground that is out in what feels like the middle of nowhere. The camper is fully equipped with everything you need for the perfect stay.
Sleeping
The camper features a bed at the back of the camper and there can be a second bed at the front when you convert the dining table to a sleeping area. The beds have the softest blankets!
Kitchen
The kitchen comes complete with cookware, dining items, a coffee maker with mugs, soap, paper towels, and more.
Outside
When you step outside the camper you will find a fire pit, picnic table, and two chairs to keep you comfortable while you make s’ mores and enjoy the stars.
Bathroom
There is no bathroom in the camper. However, just a short walk away you will find full private bathrooms. These are honestly the best bathrooms I have ever seen at a campground. Every nice looking and extremely clean.
If you’re looking for a fun and cute trip, I highly recommend this adorable and stylish retro glamping stay.
