Disney Maleficent Mistress of Evil picks up a few years after we left Maleficent and Aurora in the woods together in the last movie. While Queen Aurora is ruling the Moors, life changes a bit when Prince Phillip proposes to her and a wedding is on the horizon. You can bet that Godmother Maleficent is not happy about this situation, and if you go back to the title of the movie Maleficent Mistress of Evil, you know you’re not about to get a sicky sweet story.
While Maleficent Mistress of Evil may be filled with death and darkness, the end of the movie gives us the happily ever after that we always crave in a Disney movie. Well as happily ever after as it can be…. There are even hints at possibly another movie, which is exciting because I have come to love the evil villain that Maleficent is.
Disney has been bringing magic to us for years, and each movie that comes out is filled with even more magical components. Maleficent Mistress of Evil is no exception to this. The cinematography throughout the movie was absolutely amazing, and the CGI elements flowed brilliantly.Maleficent Mistress of Evil soars into theaters Friday, October 18 and is one you don’t want to miss. Just remember this is a dark story, and if you want something that is light-hearted this is not the movie you want to see. While there are happy parts and some laughs, the overall theme is very dark. Maleficent Mistress of Evil perfectly builds on the last movie and does have an underlying message of loving everyone despite differences.
