At First Glance: 2017 Mazda Mazda6 Grand Touring

*I received the Mazda Mazda6 Grand Touring for a week to test drive, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hello sporty mid-size sedan, let’s take a trip! The 2017 Mazda Mazda6 Grand Touring starts at just over $30,000 and can get up to 35 MPG – hello new little fun toy to get around in.

Hop inside and let the tour begin…
Heads-Up display:  Probably one of my favorite features; it displays your speed without even having to look down. Also it will display the speed for the area you’re in and let you know if there is a car in your blind spot as well as in front of you.

Blind Spot Alert System: Absolutely love the fact that it lets you know when a car is next to you in your blind spot, even better if you put your turn signal on and there is a car in your blind spot it beeps at you.

What is even better is it lets you know when a car is behind you to ensure you do not hit it.

Radar cruise control: While on the expressway using cruise control it will maintain a distance between you and the car in front of you – love this feature. Lets say the car in front of you is going 60 it will drop your speed down, when that car moves it will take you back up to what you had cruise set at.

Lane departure warning system: This feature lets you know when it thinks you are unintentionally going over a line in the road, and begin to move you back. I noticed that this worked mainly on the right and hardly ever on the left. Sometimes it would move me without me being out of the lane, which I wasn’t thrilled about.

Steering wheel mounted controls: You can access your phone, cruise control and even the volume right from the steering wheel.Heated steering wheel: I was super beyond excited about this feature, however slightly disappointed as it only works in the 10 and 2 position.

Drivers seat memory: Great feature if you share the car.
Legroom: Plenty of space in the front and the back.

Trunk Space: Ridiculous amount of trunk space, I’ll be taking this bad boy to load up on necessities at Costco.

Backseat: Rear cup holders and are you ready for it… heated seats.
Automatic windshield wipers: LOVE LOVE LOVE this, the fact that I did not have to turn my wipers on ever and knew I could rely on the car was great.

Heated seats: It gets downright cold in Michigan so I loved behind able to warm up with the seats.

The basic model of the 2017 Mazda Mazda6 Grand Touring Starts at about $31,000.  I definitely loved driving it and highly recommend it for someone who is single, a couple or even a couple with 1 or 2 small children.
