Wanderlust 108 came to Detroit (Belle Isle to be exact), and the experience was amazing. Wanderlust is a mindful triathlon, and features a 5K, Yoga and Meditation.
The 5K is your way, so you can run, walk, skip or dance – the only thing they ask is that you make it to the finish line.
90 minutes of yoga flow underscored by a DJ… what could be better. Yoga was instructed by Chelsey Korus, and I loved how she told sounds to make so you actually understood where your belly and form should be.
30 minutes of guided meditation had my mind completely relaxed.
I highly recommend getting the Wanderbowl for lunch if you do a 108. The Wanderbowl is brown rice topped with black beans slowed cooked with onions and garlic, topped with our own special sauce filled with spices, then layered with white cheddar cheese, covered with mango lime cilantro salsa and avocado. You can also get it without cheese.
