Let\’s Talk About Bangs

I was recently talking to one of my friends (who is a hairstylist) about getting bangs. I told her I was going to go to Sally\’s Beauty Supply and pick up faux bangs to see if I liked them before taking the plunge. She informed me that in 2011 so many celebrities got bangs. I did a search and she was right it seemed like in 2011 everyone was rocking bangs whether they were actually cut or faux. So my question to you is what do you think of bangs? Do you currently have bangs?

  1. I have a side fringe which doesnt really count. I just can't be bothered with the maintenance involved in a full fringexxx

  5. I used to have bangs, but that was a long time ago. They ended up driving me crazy, and growing them out was the worst. Definitely a great look, though!

  6. I've experimented with and without bangs. Though I'm more of a non-bangs gal, I do like to have bangs every now and then, mainly in the winter.

  7. I love bangs! I don't have them though since I have curly hair. That's just something I can't do, unless I were to straighten my hair everyday, and that is not gonna happen.

  8. I have been thinking about bangs for a week! and not going to lie, this post helped me a ton. This is probably odd but I liked the majority of the celebs without the fringe I think I'm going to skip it for myself.

  9. I currently have side bangs but I had regular bangs before that. I enjoyed them but they grow out too fast and I'm not obligate enough to go get them trimmed every other week… However I am thinking about getting them again because I did like them 🙂

  14. I like bangs but Im too afraid to commit. Did you try the faux bangs? I want to try them but all the ones I've seen look so fake.

  16. Nooooo! Don't do it! I had a bit of a weak spot for bangs on others and sat down in my stylist's chair one birthday and said go for it. It took so long to grow them out and they were not at all flattering on me. I do think that seeing them on prior to cutting them is a good idea–and I'd add take a picture of yourself in them and see how they look in the picture. 😉

  17. I haven't had bangs in a while (used to have side swept bangs forever!) but I think they are adorable. I would wear them straight down every so often. It's so much fun to do a slight change that makes a dramatic difference.Can't wait to hear what you decide.

  18. I hadn't noticed so many celebrities getting bangs, but I have noticed more and more friends getting them! I definitely think they can add a sassy look, but don't work on everyone. From the pics you've shown I think Nicole Richie pulls them off the best.

  19. I love the way they look, but I hate the upkeep. My hair is really flat and straight when it's long, but once it gets the least bit short it goes crazy.

  22. I've always had bangs… I wear them now long and swept to the side. I can't image NOT having them! I would start with a longer bang before doing anything like the pics above… it can be a difficult adjustment. Even I get really upset if my bangs are cut too short and I've had them all my life!
