Let\’s get Intimate with Zoya\’s spring collection

I absolutely love the flirty and feminine part that comes with being a girl. To me flirty and feminine colors are very intimate. They\’re gorgeous pastels that have the ability to make any girl feel gorgeous. When I heard Zoya\’s spring polish collection was called Intimate. I knew this collection was going to be a must have for every girl. This collection definitely did not disappoint me at all. Honestly Zoya\’s intimate collection is the first collection by ANY company that I have fell in LOVE with every single color.

Zoya\’s Intimate collection is made up of six new shades that are perfect for spring.

{Gemma}
Gemma is a swampy spring green with a slight yellow undertone and a hint of pink/blue shimmer. This color is beyond gorgeous and great for spring.

{Jules}
Jules is a champagne gold. Now I am not a huge fan of gold for spring. I actually love gold around the holidays and through the winter, but come spring I am all about it. However the champagne beige gold mix is absolutely beautiful and I think this is a great spring color.

{Dannii}
Dannii is a gold and ruby shimmed violet. This color is very unique and very chic. I am thinking this could be the most perfect Easter color.

{Caitlin}
Caitlin is a stunning muted gray periwinkle cream polish. This is one of my favorite polishes in the collection, and will be on my nails for a good majority of the spring.

 {Dove}
Dove is a pale green with just a hint of green and purple giving it a muddy affect. Again this color is simply gorgeous.

{Marley}

Marley is a pale lilac cream with a dusting of pink undertones. In the bottle I was not a fan, but you can\’t judge a book by it\’s cover. That definitely proved itself with this polish. It\’s absolutely gorgeous.

Who wore it best…Oscars 2011

{Reese Witherspoon}
I am not a huge fan of her dress however her hair and makeup are both my absolute favorites.
{Mila Kunis}
Loved her makeup, and I didn\’t love the boob covers sticking out. I loved the dress color against her skintone.
{Anne Hathaway}
Anne\’s makeup lately has been absolutely flawless and she definitely didn\’t let down with this beautiful look.
{Gwyneth Paltrow}
{Scarlett Johansson}
Hot Mess?!
{Sandra Bullock}
{Natalie Portman}
 {Amy Adams}
 {Mandy Moore}
{Jennifer Hudson}
{Hilary Swank}

the at home Oscar party

In college my roommate was obsessed with celebrity gossip, and I was obsessed with celebrity beauty and fashion. Put those traits together and every year we were able to throw the biggest and most fabulous Oscar party on campus.

Since the Oscar\’s are tomorrow her and I have complied for you how to throw your very own at home Oscar Party.

The Oscar\’s are all about celebrities and fashion so it\’s time to bring that glitz and glamor into your own home this year.

{the red carpet ready cocktail}

The Red Capet Ready Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Tequila
  • Half oz. Orange Liqueur
  • 3 crushed raspberries
  • A splash of cranberry juice
  • 1 lime
  • Golden caster sugar
  • 1 orange

Directions

1.Wet the rim of a tall martini glass using a wedge of orange and rim the glass with golden caster sugar.
2. Add Tequila, lime quarters, Orange liqueur, cranberry juice and the crushed raspberries to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously.
3. Strain the contents into your sugar rimmed martini glass, and garnish with a small wedge of orange.

The Dress
When picking out what you\’ll wear to an Oscar party you want to make sure it\’s something that will show off your best assets. Do you have an Ann Hathaway back? If so have your dress be backless. Want to accentuate your curves try a wrap dress.

The \”Fab\” factor
While your dress is gorgeous you need a little accent to your outfit so try a statement necklace, large headband, cocktail rings or statement earrings.

The Makeup
It\’s your time to shine so wear makeup that will get people talking. From a dramatic eye look like Nicole Richie has or gorgeous hot pink lipstick like Sandra.

OMG SHOES!
We all know shoes are an important part of the overall look. Those stilettos will give you added height that make you look taller, but slimmer as well. Don\’t want to spend money on shoes? Take a pair of black or nude heels and clip on a pair of statement earrings or a flower for some added glamour.

Hair
When it comes to achieving a look hair can make it or break it. For instance if you have a beautiful ball gown type dress don\’t go for the sleek pulled back pony-tail. It will completely ruin your look. You would want to try more of a weddingesque up-do. Remember your hair should compliment your outfit.

Nails
You want your nails to be seen, but not be the center of attention. Light colors and nudes are popular with light color dresses or to play it safe. If you are wearing a bold red dress make your nails either one shade darker or lighter of that red.

Party ideas
• most girls dream about getting their picture taken on the red carpet. So set up a photo station and ask a friend to come take some glamour shots at your party.
• Always have a signature cocktail
• serve some fabulous goodies
• send everyone home with a little goodie bag
        one year our goodies basket for each guest included
                   • a bottle of nail polish
                   • a mini nail grooming kit
                   • lip gloss
                   • photo album for the party photos
                   • directions for making the Oscar signature cocktail on a magnet

Here is the favorite signature drink that we served
Pretty in Pink

1 1/2 oz vodka
3/4 oz triple sec
3/4 oz cranberry juice
1 oz fresh lime juice

Pour the vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice and lime juice into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, strain into a cocktail glass that has been rimmed in pink sugar, and serve.

Will you be throwing a party?
