DIY on a dime: Festive Red, White & Blue wreath

 {Supplies: Tinsel garland, wreath frame, ribbon and hot glue}
Note: I bought the tinsel garland at Michaels regular $6 I used a half off coupon so I only spent $3. The wreath is from the dollar store. I had the ribbon and the hot glue.
 {hot glue the tinsel to the wreath and begin to wrap it around the wreath frame}
 {Push the tinsel so that get it is tightly wrapped}
 {When completely covered glue the end onto the frame}

{Add ribbon so you can hang it on your door and enjoy!}

It\’s all about making a statement, whether it be poolside or on the beach. I love to either color coordinate my outfit with my accessories, or I pair my outfit with a contrasting color when it comes to accessories. The accessories I always have pool side are a statement necklace or statement earrings, oversized sunglasses, a sunhat or fedora, bangles and a great handbag or beach bag. Currently I am absolutely loving tunics for poolside, a walk on the beach or walking around town.

Nude Nails for Spring and Summer

 Are you too prude to go nude for spring and summer? The nude nail is an easy to wear color that matches all outfits. Celebrities absolutely love the subtle and neutral nail trend. As you may know I have been a huge fan of pastels for spring so it\’s no wonder that I am absolutely in love with this trend. Nude nails are just like pastels and definitely make you look and feel feminine and elegant. So you can imagine how excited I was to learn that Zoya has just release a nude collection called Touch. This GORGEOUS collection contains three nudes, and they are definitely must haves. 

 What do you think of Zoya\’s Touch collection? I think it is absolutely stunning and these colors will definitely be on my nails for a majority of the summer!

How to \”nail\” the trend
• go lighter or darker than your own skin tone.
• for a very natural look just put on one coat

Spotted: 

 Duchess Kate\’s wedding nails: Bourjois So Laque Ultra Shine Nail Enamel in Rose Lounge (sold exclusively in the UK) is a barely there pink combined with Essie Allure which is a sheer beige tone.

 For Spring 2011 Fashion Week this past fall Nonie Creme of Butter London created nail polishes that would match each models skin tone.




Summer Slaw

Summer Slaw
Ingredients 
• 1 pkg. broccoli slaw
• 1 c. peppers (I used green)
• 1 c. freshly chopped pineapple
• 1/3 c. sliced almonds
• 1/4 c. Zesty Italian Dressing (I didn\’t end up using the entire 1/4 c.)
• 2 tsp. brown sugar

Directions
• Combine broccoli slaw, peppers and pineapple together.
• Mix Zesty Italian dressing with brown sugar. Add to salad and toss to coat.
• Place in the refrigerator for at least one hour. Add nuts, toss and serve.

 I have a large collection of necklaces and am always buying more. After getting fed up with them all over my house I decided that I needed a stand. So I made this simple stand and thought I would share it with you!
