Spicy Dream

While summer has a loud approach to fashion with bright colors, fall is all about sophistication. Spicy Dream is Jessica Cosmetics fall collection filled with six enticingly sophisticated and whimsical colors perfect for 9-5 or a night out with the girls. What do you think of this collection?
 {pumpkin delight}
Pumpkin Delight is the perfect burnt orange combined with red and gold glitter. Creating the quintessential fall polish.

 {gingersnap}
Gingersnap is a deep golden hue with flecks of red and orange glitter – this polish screams autumn.
 {champagne bubbles}

Champagne Bubbles is a white/silver base with gold and silver glitter, and is my new Sunday brunch must have polish.

 {crimson tattoo}

Crimson Tattoo is a vampy purple/red jelly. The color reminds me of OPI’s Linkin dark after dark but with a moodier tone.

 {cinnamon kiss}

Cinnamon Kiss is a vampy red over a blacked base with a subtle touch of simmer.

{brown sugar}

Brown Sugar is a hot chocolate brown with the subtlest silver simmer.

Crave or Save: Polka Dot Sweater

My weekend was made up of going from one mall to another in an attempt to construct a fall ensemble with the best deals of the season. One of the items on my list was a sweater that would make a statement and I found the perfect look at J.Crew. On the other hand the 268 dollar price tag was not as appealing as the sweater was. Continuing to shop I came across an almost indistinguishable sweater at Old Navy for only $25, which was, a $243 reduction from the one I saw at J.Crew. Which would you buy?

Fall Staple: a Classic Blazer

A fall wardrobe classic staple is the blazer. Not only are the color possibilities endless, but also how you style your hair can take your blazer from work to play.

Hair down. Heading to the office or a meeting, you can’t go wrong with you hair down try straightened or with loose waves for a natural look.
Low bun or pontail. Simple and chic for work and play a quick, but classic look.
Top knot. Trying to make a statement with your blazer? Pull your hair up.

Entertaining Essentials

I love to entertain, from intimate get-togethers and backyard barbeques to cocktail parties and holiday gatherings. After watching my mum host many get-togethers there are some basic things I learned that have helped me to become the hostess with the mostess. Here are some key elements to creating an enjoyable time.

Ambiance. Use unscented candles at the table and scented ones that compliment each other in the other rooms – don’t forget a scented candle in the bathroom.
Apron. This is a necessity in order to save you from wearing the food .
Drinks. A signature cocktail and flavored water. I also like to put fruit in ice cubes for a pretty presentation.  Don’t forget drink charms or tags so everyone can easily locate their drink. Cocktail napkins are a great addition as well.
Favors. No matter what the reason is for having guests over I make sure they never leave empty handed, this will either be a party themed favor or a friendship gift.
Sweets.
They are a must at any gathering my favorites are cookies and cupcakes.
Table.
I am a fan of tablescapes that coordinate with the theme.
Theme.
Whenever I am entertaining I like to have a theme (i.e. nostalgic candy, bagel brunch, pink party) once you have a theme, the menu and party basically creates itself.
Vases.
Filled with fresh flowers.
