Buttery Herb Popcorn

While in college Sunday evenings always involved going to the on-campus theater. One of the best parts of their movies nights was the herbed popcorn. Each week was a new concoction and better than the previous week. Over the weekend I attempted to create my own herbed popcorn,  so  I popped 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels in a paper bag for two minutes in the microwave. I then melted butter and mixed in some parmesan cheese, rosemary, thyme and garlic salt and poured over the popcorn.

Febreze Noseblind GIVEAWAY

This review and giveaway was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Febreze. I was compensated for my participation in this campaign, but all opinions are 100% mine.

If you watch TV you’ve probably noticed the Febreze commercials featuring their Noseblind challenges.  You know the ones where they blindfold people, and put them in a room filled with disgusting garbage – when the blindfold is removed they basically want to die because of how gross the situation is.

What exactly is Noseblind? It’s the gradual acclimation to the smells of one’s home, belongings or car, in which the affected does notice them (even though their guests do).
This week I had the opportunity to take the Noseblind test myself along with a few friends during movie night (we watched Frozen), and let me tell you it was an interesting experience. The challenge I was presented was simple. Take a couple surveys before and after the movie. This was determining what smells were the most apparent in my home. They were the smell of rubber (I didn’t realize my rainboots were that smelly….oops), the dinner I had just cooked and the bag of buttery popcorn in the living room.
I soon realized that the buttery popcorn masked the other scents in my home. While watching Frozen I lit a Febreze candle, by the end of the movie my house smelled fresh and clean. Days later there were no lingering smells in the house.

The Noseblind test really made me aware of the fact that it’s easy to become used to the scents in my home in turn making me Noseblind. It’s kind of scary to think about, no one wants their guests to think they have a smelly home. So this definitely made me more aware of the scents that are going on at my house, as well as making Febreze my new BFF.

Now it’s time to get you equip with the essentials you need to keep your house smelling fab, and avoid Noseblindness. Enter below for your chance to win a FABULOUS Febreze prize pack as well as a $60 American Express Gift Card!! Good Luck!
