While in college Sunday evenings always involved going to the on-campus theater. One of the best parts of their movies nights was the herbed popcorn. Each week was a new concoction and better than the previous week. Over the weekend I attempted to create my own herbed popcorn, so I popped 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels in a paper bag for two minutes in the microwave. I then melted butter and mixed in some parmesan cheese, rosemary, thyme and garlic salt and poured over the popcorn.
Breezy dresses, warm weather, baseball games, beach parties, and cookouts are just some of the perks of summer. However there is something nostalgic about grabbing a bucket of popcorn, curling up with your favorite and enjoying a little escape from reality. Here is my top 10 lineup of date night movies:
1. Sweet Home Alabama
2. That Awkward Moment
3. About Time
4. How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days
5. Frozen
6. The Proposal
7. This Means War
8. The Vow
9. 21 Jump Street
10. The Notebook
