Most Popular First Date Spots

Starbucks wins, when it comes to first dates. It seems like most of us prefer the relaxed environment of a coffee shop (where we can screen our dates quickly over coffee and jet on out of there within 30 minutes), as opposed to a dining establishment where we are forced to eat in front of a stranger. A recent study says guys are more willing to commit to a first meeting when its over dinner at a restaurant versus us girls who don’t want to eat our food like a little bird, get a to-go box and pig out at home (Rachel from Friends anyone?).

What’s your go-to first date place?

Review: The Longest Ride

As a chick flick fan – especially when they have a country twist (Sweet Home Alabama is my favorite), I knew that The Longest Ride was on my must see list as soon as it hit theaters.

Let me tell you this movie does not disappoint at all. Besides the serious eye candy (Scott Eastwood – why isn’t he in Magic Mike?), the story line is adorable (per usual thanks to Nicholas Sparks) and the casting is phenomenal. It’s definitely a movie you don’t want to miss out on! I have already seen it twice.  Have you seen it? What did you think?

Lilly Pulitzer for Target Favorites

It\’s officially spring despite the fact that I found my vehicle covered in snow yesterday I am dreaming of days at the beach and backyard barbecues. Can you believe the launch of the Lilly Pulitzer for Target collection is only a couple of weeks away. The look book was recently released and let me tell you I am swooning and cannot wait for everything to hit stores April 19! Here are some of my favorites:

Dating Detox

You’re a great girl, but keep meeting all the wrong guys, it could be time for a dating detox. Take time to clear your mind – yoga works wonders. It’s time to flush the dating fatigue from your system and put you back in the game better than before.

Purge
It’s no use trying to start fresh if you’re still holding onto what dragged you down in the first place. Learning to let go is critical to your well-being and being the best version of yourself.

Rebuild
This is something my eyelash girl taught me, and you have no idea how beneficial it’s been to me. Identify the kind of partner YOU want to be, and make a plan of how you can get to be that person. Next describe in detail the guy you desire to be with.

What’s your happy?
Make a list of things that make YOU happy. i.e. Get lost in your favorite movie, book or tv show, a quick vacation, a bubble bath, sign up for a class or workshop, attend a new gym class… etc.

Happy + Active = Attractive
You know the moment you finish a workout, you’re breathing heavy and all sweaty and some guy comes up to you and hits on you at that precise moment. You think, “If you like me now you should see me dolled up!” Believe it or not, after a workout you are at your most attractive to men. You’re glowing from that endorphin rush.
