Movie Review: The Addams Family

[this image was taken from Google]

They\’re creepy and they\’re kooky, mysterious and spooky – they\’re all together ooky The Addams Family has been entertaining us since 1938. Get ready to snap your fingers, the first family of Halloween, The Addams Family is back on the big screen. That\’s right, this Friday, October 11 you can catch the whole gang in their first animated comedy. The Addams Family animated movie is funny, cute, witty and of course iconic.

The Addams Family features the whole gang you have come to love voiced by some Hollywood powerhouses.

Morticia Addams is voiced by Charlize Theron
Gomez Addams is voiced by Oscar Isaac
Wednesday Addams is voiced by Chloe Grace Moretz
Pugsley Addams is voiced by Finn Wolfhard
Uncle Fester is voiced by Nick Kroll
It is voiced by Snoop Dogg
Grandma is voiced by Bette Midler

Wednesday, I had the opportunity to check out the new animated film The Addams Family, and i\’m here today to give you a full review.

The Addams Family animated movie hitting theaters this Friday, allows you to meet the Addams Family, and begins with people not accepting them which results in Addams having to leave their city and head to a new one. Of course, The Addams Family begins with Fester messing around on the piano to different tunes, and then he breaks out into the iconic song we have all come to love. The audience was snapping their fingers, and getting into the song. Really, how can you not snap your fingers? Even if you never watched the television series or saw one of the movies that came out, you\’ve definitely heard the iconic song a time or two.  In this animated version of The Addams Family, Morticia, Gomez, Wednesday and Pugley are preparing for a visit from their creepy relatives. However, trouble soon arises when a town is built below them and the fog begins to lift. The Addams Family is definitely written for 2019, because the trouble that arises is when shady TV home design personality Margaux Needler realizes that Addams\’ eerie hilltop mansion is standing in the way of her dream to sell all the houses in the neighborhood she has created. Margaux is the evil villain in the Addams Family, and of course turns the towns people against the Addams Family. However, soon they all see that the Addams Family is just like them and they\’re not evil monsters, and the neighborhood is redefined – which gives you that feel good moment in movies that we all crave.

The Addams Family, comes out just in time for Halloween and is one movie you do not want to miss. So get a witches shawl on, a broomstick you can crawl on, we\’re gonna pay a call on The Addams Family this Friday, October 11 when the first family of Halloween comes to a theater near you.

Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal Cream Pies

Football season is in full swing, cider mills are open for business, leaves are beginning to change colors and there is a crispness in the air. Fall is coming in full-force. While I love summer, and always hate to see it go, I must admit that fall has always been my favorite season. This year fall seemed to sneak up on me quickly, typically come September 1st I have Uggs out and have become the definition of a basic babe. This year definitely is not like that. Despite not being ready to give up my sundresses, fall officially arrived on Monday. You know what that means, I had to welcome the pumpkin spiced filled season with a dessert. I decided to make Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal Cream Pie Cookies. This is the first fall recipe I am sharing this year, and let me tell you these pumpkin spice oatmeal cream pies just may be the only recipe you need this fall. These pumpkin spice cookies have been a huge hit with everyone who has tasted them. I personally made my pumpkin spice oatmeal cream pie cookies vegan by using plant-based butter. However, you can definitely use regular butter to make these cookies. I would suggest going with a salted butter and dropping the dash of salt from the recipe.

These pumpkin spice oatmeal cream pie cookies are absolutely delicious, and sure to be the hit of any fall gathering you attend this year. Trust me, no one will be able to have just one!
