Five Things

{Ranunculus that brought the sunshine in this week}

The weekend is suppose to be filled with thundershowers so I will be spending my time inside working on some projects that I need to accomplish before my trip next week. Any suggestions for must see items, shopping and/or dining in Washington, DC? Here are five things that kept me inspired this week, what kept you inspired?

 {chocolate for Easter confections}
{freshly squeezed lemonade with sprigs of mint}

  1. If you're doing the touristy thing in DC I would try to stop by the Library of Congress. It's so pretty, and often over looked by most tourists.For a good burger try Good Stuff on Capitol Hill, Tosca for out of this world Italian food, Barracks Row had wonderful bars and restaurants and isn't super touristy (Cava Mezze is my FAVORITE spot in the whole city), and if you want a great cup of coffee try the Big Bear in Bloomingdale. Have a great trip!!!

  2. Erica, I am going to be in the DC area in a couple of weeks as well! I have been to DC a few time and you have to go to Adam's Morgan. Great food and eclectic stores make this part of town so much fun!

  4. For food I usually recommend: Ben's Chili Bowl (bring cash) for a midday chili dog, Founding Farmers for brunch or any meal really, and Cafe Bonaparte for crepes! I also love the Vineyard Vines in Georgetown and all of the stores on M & Wisconsin. Strolling along the monuments at night is another favorite activity. Have a great weekend and I can't wait to hear about your trip! 🙂

  7. Ranunculus also kept me inspired this week; they have to be one of my favorite flowers! Hope you have a great trip to DC; every time I go there, I spring to Zara and Club Monaco because we don't have either in Charlotte. As far as food/drinks go, I suggest getting a drink at the W Hotel's rooftop bar (formally Hotel Washington) for the best view of the city. Have a great trip!
