2011 color of the year…….

So what\’s in store for 2011?

HONEYSUCKLE

Pantone wants us all to think pink! That\’s right the color of 2011 will be Honeysuckle, and I couldn\’t be more delighted.

I think with the economy honeysuckle is the PERFECT hue to help lift our spirits.

On the fashion front

Honeysuckle will look fabulous with your basics (black, charcoal, gray, white and navy)

Try pairing honeysuckle with greens for the preppy \”pink and green\” combination.

Add a little charm to your wardrobe with honeysuckle and taupe or brandy colors.

A must have to start the new year would be a honeysuckle cashmere scarf. This will have you looking tres chic for the new year.

What do you think about honeysuckle being the color of 2011?
I am completely excited. I adore pink in all shades so I am very excited that honeysuckle will be seen all over the fashion and beauty world for 2011. Have no fear… come the new year i`ll have your hookup for nail polish in wonderful honeysuckle as well as clothing trends.

Where taking it easy is serious business!

{Koozie\’s $4.00}

Coast Apparel is a preppy chic company out of Pawleys Island South Carolina. Their motto is, \”Where taking it easy is serious business.\” Let me tell you that their clothes are serious business. Their website says, \”Our clothing lines are designed to take you back to the coast: in your heart, in your mind and on your back.\”

{the revolutionary \”Winyah\” woman\’s polo $72.50}

While the weather outside here is frightful my Coast apparel has me feeling delightful. Can I share a little secret with you? I absolutely dislike polos on myself. My body just isn\’t built properly for adorable polos…. that is until now. Coast Apparel polos are absolutely impressive and accent my curves properly. This is definitely my go-to company for polos. Plus the little crab is so cute!

{fleece pull-over $98.50}

The Coast fleece pull-over is absolutely perfect for fall and winter… at least before the temperatures drop below zero. I wouldn\’t compare this jacket to a North Face as it is not meant to be worn in frigid temperature. However for a preppy look at school, in the office for casual Friday or just to run out in it\’s absolutely wonderful.
{coast cap $20.00}

Can we pause for a moment and talk about how cute these hats are? I mean really what girl wouldn\’t want that pink cap? Also I don\’t know about you but I absolutely LOVE when guys where white hats. At only $20 I think this cap would make a perfect Christmas gift…. or even a birthday gift.

Are you a fan of the preppy look?

Candy Cane Lane

A Christmas tradition in my house is to create a gingerbread house every year. While I create my own every year I also love to check out the life size ones in Michigan and sip on some gingerbread inspired treats.
