How I Kicked Off Camping Season with the Ultimate S’mores Night

Camping season is officially here, and I couldn’t be more excited to get back to everything I love about it—crackling fires, fresh air, and of course, amazing food with a view. There’s something extra satisfying about cooking and enjoying food outside, especially when it involves a classic campfire treat.

To kick things off right, I went straight for the ultimate camping dessert: s’mores. But this year, I gave them a serious upgrade.

The marshmallows were homemade from Crust in Fenton, and they were absolutely delicious. Soft, fluffy, and made without any junk—just real, high-quality ingredients that toasted decent enough over the fire. Honestly, they were the best marshmallows I’ve ever had.

I paired them with graham crackers and chocolate from Trader Joe’s. The grahams had just the right crunch, and the chocolate melted beautifully into that classic gooey goodness. Simple, satisfying, and so worth it.

There’s something special about ending the day with a sweet treat by the fire—especially when it tastes this good. S’more nights like this are what make camping season unforgettable.

Here’s to more nights under the stars, great food, and all the memories still to come.
