Never Fail Chocolate Chip Cookies

When I moved from Michigan to Pennsylvania and attempted to make chocolate chip cookies for my dad they came out flat and dry. Due to the elevation difference I had to come up with a new chocolate chip cookie recipe. I wanted the recipe to be one that would work in any climate, oven and elevation. It would be a no fail chocolate chip cookie. Well I finally have come up with that cookie, and in honor of my daddy\’s birthday today – Happy Birthday Daddy! I am sharing with you my never fail chocolate chip cookie recipe! Happy Baking!

Never Fail Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
• 2 sticks butter, at room temperature
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 large egg
• 2 3/4 cups flour
• 1/2 tsp. vanilla
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
• 12 oz. semisweet chocolate chips

Directions
• Heat oven to 325 degrees.
• With your mixer on medium-high, beat the butter, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla for about 3 minutes. Add the egg and beat until combined.
• In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt and baking soda. Reduce the mixer to low and slowly add the flour mixture to the egg mixture until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips, and add nuts if desired.
Bake for 7 1/2 minutes or until lightly browned on the edges.

  1. Since I don't bake I find it so odd that the elevation effects how the cookies turn out – never would have thought about it. Those look delicious though and the milk straw is too cute. I actually just had a pack of Famous Amos for breakfast – I love my cookies 🙂 lolxx Emily @ laughliveandshop.blogspot.com
